Things could be changing for the weekend.
After a very humid week, the temperatures are expected to rise into the weekend, with heat index values reaching as high as 105 in some areas.
On top of high temperatures, there is also a chance for severe weather. The risk of severe weather will mainly be to the north and east of us, but some stray storms in our area may be capable of large hail, and damaging winds.
Northeast Texas is under a Marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather on Friday. Saturday has a Marginal risk as well, with a Slight (2/5) risk for extreme northern Lamar and Fannin Counties.
