This week has been great for those of us who enjoy cooler weather. Temperatures have been in the 60s and 70s, and winds have been calm. Perfect fall weather! Unfortunately, the rain is expected to return again this weekend, and some areas could see some flooding.
The National Weather Service is calling for nearly 4 inches of rainfall in some areas over the weekend. This will be a good soaking of rain, and not much in the way of thunderstorms. There is a chance for severe weather south of our region, but only a few claps of thunder are expected to make it up to NE Texas.
A strong cold front is expected to move through on Sunday, dropping temperatures throughout the day to 40s overnight. Temperatures on Monday could be in the low 50s or even high 40s for some areas.
