Much drier conditions are expected today as the system pulls away from North and Central Texas. Highs will climb into the mid 70s in the east to lower 80s in the west. Additionally, low rain chances will linger this morning in the far northeast.

The next chance for thunderstorm is Saturday night when a weak cold front arrives. Storms should be confined to locations generally north of the I-20 corridor. Otherwise, it will be partly cloudy with overnight lows in the lower 60s.
