A mix of sleet, snow, and rain may hit just south of Paris this afternoon and evening.
Precipitation is expected to be in the form of sleet and rain, although some snow is also possible. There is a potential for some heavier bursts of sleet or snow to develop south of I-20 and into Central Texas (highlighted by the gray-shaded region) from late this afternoon through the mid-evening. If heavier rates occur, some minor travel impacts would be possible during the evening rush. Keep checking back through the day as we update and refine this portion of the weather forecast.
After a very cold start Saturday morning, the rest of the day will be cloudy with afternoon temperatures warming only into the upper 30s to low 40s across the region. While most of the day is expected to be dry, some light rain will be possible during the afternoon hours. Rain chances will begin to increase Saturday night and widespread light rain is expected Sunday and Sunday night. Sunday will not be as cold, with afternoon temperatures in the mid 40s and low 50s.
