Paris High marched their way to a homecoming victory against Mount Pleasant on Thursday night. Coming out strong and not slowing down the Wildcats took down the Tigers, 41-7.
Following the same pattern of events that took place in last week’s game against Gilmer, the Wildcats jumped to an early lead and took control of the ball game from start to finish.
With a halftime score of 35-0, the dominant Wildcat defense would not budge; mixing that with the explosive offense makes for a hard to beat team. Finishing the game 41-7 and advancing to a 2-1-1 record to finish the pre-season, Paris takes on the Melissa Cardinals next Friday at the Wildcat stadium at 7 p.m.
“We came out great, got off to a good start and kept our momentum throughout the game. We kept playing together as a team. We executed the great game plan that the coaches prepared for us and came out with a great win,” said Gerald Palmer an outside linebacker for the Wildcats.
