The monthly Competition of the Cars was held on Sunday, March 31, at the Pine Ridge Golf Course to determine the best golfers between the local dealerships. The rules for the Competition of the Cars were:

-9 Hole 3-person Scramble

-Competition between local car dealerships

-Any car dealership with three players or more (may have multiple teams of three)

-Players must be a car dealership employee or family member of an employee

-Best Scramble score wins for the players’ respective car dealership

Local car dealerships competed for prizes, bragging rights, and the traveling trophy. The dealership with the lowest team score won.

Competing in the first Competition of the Cars for 2019 were Everett Toyota, Paris Chevrolet and James Hodge Motors. Everett Toyota represented by Chad Liesman, Tony Wisner, and Jeremy Prunty, won the trophy and bragging rights for their dealership.

To go along with the Competition of the Cars, the Battle of the Banks golfing scramble was held as well on Tuesday, April 2. The rules were:

-Battle of the Banks – 9 Hole 3-person Scramble

-Competition between local banks

-Any bank with three players or more (may have multiple teams of three)

-Players must be a bank employee, board member or family member of an employee

-Best Scramble score wins for the players’ respective bank.

Local banks competed for prizes, bragging rights and the traveling trophy. The bank with the lowest team score won.

Competing in the first Battle of the Banks was First Federal and Lamar National. Lamar National, represented by Eddie Clement, Dan Schmitt, and Dick Severson won the trophy and bragging rights for their bank for the month of April.
