J. T. Davis Memorial Golf Tournament results are in

The J. T. Davis Memorial Golf Tournament, hosted by the Paris Education Foundation, is a fundraiser that provides scholarships for graduating seniors at Paris High School and grants for teachers in Paris ISD.

The tournament, held at the Paris Golf and Country Club, featured a morning and afternoon tournament. Corporate sponsors were Jeremy Nelms Physical Therapy, Ryan Lassiter/Edward Jones, and The Paris News. Food/drink sponsors were Dairy Queen, Coca-Cola, and Reddy Ice.

Thirty-four teams entered the tournament. Winning 1st place gross in the morning tournament was the team sponsored by Linebarger, Goggan, Blair and Sampson Law Firm made up of Gary Ensey, Greg Liska, Paul Jones, and Brad Ruthart.

Winning 2nd place gross was the team sponsored by Performance Services Inc., made up of Bob White, Paul Trull, Bob Long, and Skipper Steely.

Winning 3rd place gross was the team sponsored by Harris and Harris Law Group, made up of David Stevens, Joel Wofford, Ken Kohls, and Jeff Radighieri.

Other winning teams placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd net were Jeremy Nelms Physical Therapy team players Jeremy Nelms, Allen Woodby, Clayton Pilgrim, and Michael Perry; Liberty National Bank team players Kyle Eatherly, Chase Coleman, Kevin Ashmore, and David Thrasher; Lamar Power Plant team
players Kelley Keeling, Phillip Bolton, John McClellan, and Michael McDougal.

In the afternoon tournament, placing 1st place gross was the team sponsored by Focus Industries made up of players Levi Graham, Scott Biard, Cade Stone, and Robby Russell.

Winning 2nd place gross was the team sponsored by TIPS made up of players Holden Stone, Mason Napier, Tyler Harvey, and Tate Lewis.

Winning 3rd place gross was the team sponsored by Class of 1983/K and B Steel made up of players John Saffle, Robert Cobb, Gary Young, and Walter Wilhemi.

Other winning teams placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd net were Class of 1968 players Duncan McMillan, Bobby Bardin, John Biard, and Joe Bob Margraves; Ryan Lassiter/Edward Jones players Zack Saffle, Ryan Lassiter, Clifton Fendley, and Chad Severson; Paris Chevrolet Team players Bert LaBlanc,
Steve Martin, Ervin Farley, and Josh Exum.

Winning individual contests in morning and afternoon tournaments were Greg Liska and Jeff Goodson, longest drive on hole 2; Greg Weaver and Scott Biard, closest to pin on hole 3; Lamar Power player and Larry Green, closest to pin on hole 5; Dale Callihan, longest putt on hole 9; Bob Long and Steve Martin, longest drive on hole 14; James Hooten and Brian Lewis, closest to pin on hole 16; and Jeremy Nelms and Rachel Freeman, longest putt on hole 18.
