Two local schools known as friendly rivals are coming together to turn the stadium pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.

According to Chisum ISD Facebook’s page, the Prairiland Student Council invited Chisum Beta to partner together for a service project that aims to benefit cancer victims and their families.

The initiative is bringing the two “rival” schools together just in time for Chisum Vs. Prairiland football game Oct. 26.

The schools aim to turn the entire stadium pink by selling shirts that attendees can wear to the game in support of the fundraiser. Order forms are scheduled to be delivered to each campus today, and money and forms are due back to each office by Monday, Oct. 15.

Although Prairiland STUCO is handling the sales, 100% of the profits will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in both of the school’s names according to Chisum ISD.
