North Lamar Independent School District’s Superintendent Jason Adams will likely be leaving the district sometime this semester, according to Fairfield ISD Superintendent Tony Price.

“We’re in talks with him now and he will likely be taking over some time in early spring,” Price said.

Adams was hired as the North Lamar ISD Superintendent by the NLISD Board of Trustees this time last year, officially starting in March 2018. His contract was set to last until June 30, 2021, with a salary of $150,000 per year.

If he accepts the new position, there will be a state-mandated 21-day waiting period between his time at North Lamar ISD and his time at Fairfield ISD.
