The Chisum Independent School District Superintendent, Tommy Chalaire, will continue to serve the district after trustees met earlier this week.
“They voted to extend my contract a year – it is a three-year contract, so each year they can vote to extend it by one year – and I’m extremely grateful and appreciate the board’s confidence,” Chalaire said. “I feel very fortunate to work in a district like Chisum ISD and live in this community.”
Chalaire’s contract was extended Monday during the board’s regular monthly meeting. The contract will last three years, from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2022.
His salary is $151,874 per year.
