Five people are dead and five more were injured after a multi-vehicle accident in Mount Pleasant, Texas, on Friday.

Wanda Gebhart, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene after her 18-wheeler struck a minivan, causing a chain reaction.

The minivan carried a family of five – a father, his wife and their three children. The father, 42-year-old Jeffrey Brokish was the only survivor. He was transported by air to a trauma center in Tyler. His wife, Jessica Brokish, 41, their two sons (9 and 6) along with their two-year-old daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.

The minivan was pushed into another 18-wheeler driven by 42-year-old Carlos Vela Martinez. Both Carlos and his passenger, 20-year-old Juan Martinez, were taken to Titus Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

That 18-wheeler then struck a fourth vehicle, driven by Ravshan Sayfetdin Ibragim, 43, who was also taken with minor injuries to TRMC.

The fifth vehicle struck was driven by 53-year-old Abdul Rahman Al-Shaibani. He was also taken to TRMC for minor injuries.
