Throughout the past month, volunteers have been collecting school supplies for local Lamar County schoolchildren through the United Way Stuff the Bus Drive.

When the drive kicked off last month, Jenny Wilson, executive director of the United Way of Lamar County stated “We are always looking for ways to support education in our community. The annual Stuff the Bus campaign is a great and easy way to contribute to our local students and schools, and we are very excited and grateful to all the local businesses who have partnered with us to be additional drop-off sites.”

Today, the supplies collected were delivered to Aikin Elementary School, Paris Junior High School, Justiss Elementary School and Aaron Parker Elementary School.
