Paris Junior College wishes to alert the public to beware of individuals soliciting funds in the name of the college.
“PJC’s Campus Police Office has received numerous reports of a scam being perpetrated by subjects who claim to represent Paris Junior College,” said PJC Campus Police Chief Shane Boatwright, “soliciting donations from citizens on the pretense of helping a person who was recently involved in a serious traffic collision.”
Solicitations of this nature are not sanctioned by Paris Junior College and citizens who come into contact with persons attempting to collect money in this manner are encouraged to contact the Paris Junior College Campus Police Office at 903-782-0399 or the Paris Police Department at 903-784-6688.
