The public is invited to the 2019 Spring salad luncheon at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the church activity center. The luncheon will feature a wide variety of pasta, meat and vegetable salads along with delicious desserts. Tickets are $8.00 each, and carryout orders are available.
This is the 79th year for this event which is designed to bring people together to celebrate Spring, enjoy good food and fellowship.
“Many people look forward to the luncheon and come with their friends and family. It has always been well-supported by the Paris community and draws a nice crowd,” said Chairman Elizabeth Perez.
Proceeds are used to purchase altar breads and wine, candles, vestments, flowers, linens and to help with miscellaneous building improvements during the year.
“I look forward to this event every year,” said Guild President Cathy Babb. “It’s wonderful seeing so many parishioners working together to make this event a success.”
In keeping with tradition, members of the guild will be selling their famous cookbooks at the door. “Recipes for many of the dishes served at the luncheon are featured in the cookbook,” said Perez.
Lunch is served at 11 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church activity center located at 3300 Clarksville Street. Entrance to the activity center and parking areas are at the back of the church facility.
Advance tickets may be purchased at the church office or from members of Our Lady’s Guild. Tickets also will be available at the door the day of the luncheon. Handicapped and the elderly are seated early and served first. To purchase tickets, or for more information, please call the church office, (903) 784-1000.
