October’s cooler temperatures bring great wine down weather

The summer is finally over and this year was especially hot. The prolonged heat and humidity made outdoor activities a challenge. However, the dog days are gone, and though there’s no frost on the pumpkins yet, everyone is thinking fall.

Wine Down on Willow at the Creative Arts Center this month is on Friday, Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. What better way is there to celebrate the passing of summer than to sip wine and enjoy great music under the willow trees on a Friday evening?

Guitarist David Odom will provide the entertainment for the evening and his music is great to listen to or sing along with. There is no cover but donations are accepted. Homestead and Cooley Bay Wineries will be on hand. La Coqueta Mexican food will also be available.

So, sit, sip and relax at the Creative Arts Center, Friday, Oct. 19. While you’re here, shop in the gift shop or view the beautiful Taste of Color exhibit, featuring the art of Kay Carrel, on display until Oct. 27.
