Weldon Eugene Love, Sr., 81, of Paris, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, at his home while surrounded by his family.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 at the Evergreen Chapel. Military honors will follow. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, family and friends may pay their respects at the funeral Home.
Weldon, the son of Herschell E. and Adelle Boatwright Love, was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Minter.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His career at B & W as a welding engineer spanned many years before his retirement.
Weldon loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Weldon Eugene Love, Jr. on June 16, 2000, and by two brothers, Leon Love & wife Billie and Gary Love & wife Verda.
Survivors include four daughters; Sue Parr & husband Glenn of Bonham, Holly Love Henderson & husband Matt of Paris, Kelly Love & Kendall Holback of Reno, NV, and Kristi Love of Paris, grandchildren; Bethany Love of Paris, Brittany Thompson of Bonham, Jordon Love of Sulphur Springs, Morgan Drake & husband Benjamin of Paris, Emily Love of Paris and Bay Lamb of Paris, a great-grandson, Samson Mejia, two nephews, Michael Love and Craig Love along with a host of friends.
