Marion Edward Hines 77, of Clarksville, died at 11:02 a.m. March 18, 2019 at Paris Regional Medical Center. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Lane’s Chapel Cemetery in Red River County with Rev. Charles Brown officiating.
Marion was born August 16, 1941 in Clarksville to Hester and Alice Barta Hines. He had worked for the City of Paris Water Department, the railroad tie yard, and for local tree services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Annona.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Griffin of Clarksville; eight children, Angela Janette Hines and James “Jim” Edward Hunt III of Paris, Mary Charolette Jackson and Jerry Dean Jackson of Paris, Alice Amanda Swan and Jeffery Woodrow Moore of Sumner, Samantha Diane Totty and Benny Hulse of Paris, Tina Louise Fields of Clarksville, Donna Lenael George and Lewis Justin George of Spencerville, Oklahoma, Bessie “Becky” Ann Fields of Sumner, and Gary Wayne Fields of Paris; fourteen grandchildren, Brandi, Cody, Jeremy, Cheyenne, Mike, Justin, Madison, Nikki, Clayton, Jasmine, Kansas, Travis, Briar, and Charlie Jo; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Floyd Hines; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Calvin and Cloyce Hines.
