Arvana Blalock Goble 84, of Paris, died at 5:10 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home. A graveside service is set for 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019 at East Post Oak Cemetery with Rev. Henry Blackmon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Arvana was born July 28, 1934 in Petersburg, Texas to Henry and Lorraine Kelsey Blalock. She graduated from high school in Abernathy, Texas. Mrs. Goble was retired from the Campbell Soup Company where she worked in accounts payable. She married C.L. Goble on July 5, 1968 in Durant, Oklahoma. He died June 7, 2013. She was a member of the Blossom United Methodist Church and active in the Quilt Guild.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Newby; three sons, Lynn, Gary, and J.C. Goble; six grandchildren, Mark White, Robert White, Justin Toler, Ashley Lang, John Goble, and Mary Goble; nine great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Larysa Toler. She was preceded in death by one son, Ken Toler; her parents; and three brothers.
