A Paris local is set to take on Mount Washington to raise awareness for Multiple Myeloma.
Dana Rosencranz has been directly involved in cancer care for the past 16 years, fortunate to be part of one of the nation’s largest oncology provider network – The US Oncology Network, working for Texas Oncology in Paris, Texas.
She is also one of the two founders of Together we CAN make a difference cancer support group, which allowed her to get to know her cancer patients on a much deeper level. Recently, her friend Cindy Martin has been actively going through multiple myeloma and she had the privilege to be in touch with her feelings, fears, and her tremendous will power to fight this cancer and continue to live her life.
To raise awareness, Rosencranz will take on the highest peak in the northeastern United States, and the most prominent peak east of the Mississippi.
Dana will be part of a 22-person team that will consist of Multiple Myeloma patients, caregivers, nurses and doctors, which will cover over 4,000 feet of elevation. The climb will be taking place on June 28-30 and is a joint initiative between the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, CURE Media Group and Celgene.
