Lamar County Human Resource Council’s Mardi Gras is set for March 8 at 7 p.m. at Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate Drive.

LCHRC Executive Director Shelly Braziel said they are still in need of donations for this year’s Mardi Gras.

“We appreciate all the support form our community,” Braziel said. “We still need auction items, and we still have full tables and individual tickets for sale.”

Braziel said individual tickets are $75 and for a table of eight is $600.

Donations for the live and silent auction includes everything from parties, to cabins stays, home decor to tools.

“We have a really big variety,” Braziel said, “and appreciate all the support.”

All proceeds from this year’s Mardi Gras benefits Meals on Wheels, Senior Centers, Gifts of Love and LCHRC Support Programs.

The 2019 Mardi Gras will feature a Cajun dinner, silent and live auction, complimentary adult beverages, live band, selfie booth and a king contest.
