Kids Safe Saturday set for May 4 at Love Civic Center

Set for May 4 at Love Civic Center, 2025 S. Collegiate Drive, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Kids Safe Saturday has new attractions and several new participants scheduled to teach children various safety aspects.

Chris Shoemate, Think Child Safety coordinator, said OnCor Electric will demonstrate their ARC trailer and Gear Down Bikes will teach basic bicycle safety.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Paris will also be there this year along with many, many more,” Shoemate said. “We are excited and from the looks of it, this will be our biggest event we have had. We are humbled by the community support of this event.”

Shoemate said he hopes Kid Safe Saturday will be a learning experience for children and adults in the community.

“As long as the weather cooperates, we should be in good shape. This is a rain or shine event,” Shoemate said.
