A four-vehicle crash landed two in the hospital over the weekend.
Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Paris police officers were called to the 500 block of N.W. Loop 286 for reports of a four-vehicle crash.
Curtis Garrett with the Paris Police Department said when officers arrived, they were told a 2001 red Ford Expedition driven by 55-year-old Jacinto Valentin Santiago was driving eastbound and veered to the left, crossing a median and colliding head-on with a 2014 white Dodge Ram 2500, driven by a 17-year-old man.
“After the initial collision, two more vehicles heading westbound were unable to stop,” Garrett said. “Both became involved in the accident.”
Garrett said multiple injuries were reported, however, only two were transported to Paris Regional Medical Center for treatment.
“Santiago is suspected of driving while intoxicated,” Garrett said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
