Paris first responders are out again today for their Fill-the-Boot campaign.
From 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through Saturday, Paris EMS and EMS Reserves will be collecting money to help community members in need.
“We’re out here right now at Walmart,” said Russel Thrasher, Paris paramedic. “We spent last year’s money, about $6,800, last week to buy for this year’s Christmas through the Salvation Army angels. We also bought $1,000 in fans and another grand in heaters for Meals on Wheels.”
The money raised this year will go toward Christmas for next year, Thrasher said.
