The future of downtown Paris, Texas, has been the buzz lately following a visit from The Toole Design Group.

The group was also involved in the restructuring and development of the downtown area in Sulphur Springs, Texas, which many people say would be a great example to model. Toole opened discussions regarding the future of downtown Paris, Texas, throughout the week of June 25 and involved many local business leaders and residents.

Toole will be back in Paris beginning August 13, to further discussions regarding downtown development. On Tuesday, August 14, the consultants will be available from 4 – 6 p.m. to meet with anyone who wishes to come and share ideas, ask questions or view progress.

A final public meeting will be held Thursday, August 16, from 7-8:30 p.m., where Toole staff will present a summary of their discovery process, plans, priorities and next steps. Meetings will be held in the upstairs meeting room at city hall, above the city council chambers.
