Each year the Rotary Club of Paris announces its Rotarian of the Year. Rotary Clubs across the world are known for their motto of “service above self.” There is no doubt that Brenda Wells of Everett Toyota puts her heart and community service before self as this year’s winner.
“We are proud to name Brenda Wells Rotarian of the Year. Though she has only been a member of Rotary Club of Paris United for a year, she has made a huge impact on the club and the community. She is an excellent representative of the Rotary’s motto Service Above Self, and her generous and caring nature is observed by all she comes in contact with. Congratulations Brenda.” said Gregory Wilson.
On any given day you can see Brenda delivering Meals on Wheels or helping to stock the Food Pantry downtown and running from board meeting to board meeting. She is an avid supporter of the arts, local schools and I have even known her to be late to a Christmas Brunch because she saw two stray dogs on the side of the road who needed her help. That Christmas Brunch just happened to be mine, but that’s Brenda and I didn’t mind one bit because she is a one of a kind.
“I was so humbled and honored to receive this award and it was very unexpected. I am so very proud to be a part of Rotary. I have met so many great people through this organization and it has been a privilege to serve with all of the other wonderful members of this group.” – Brenda Wells
Rotarians typically close each meeting with the Four-Way Test.
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
When it comes to Brenda Wells you can put a check mark by each of these questions as she passes the Four-Way Test will flying colors. If there were more Brenda’s in the world, it would be a much better place to live and work.
“Brenda not only serves the dealership, but she is a great server of this community. We are all very blessed, but I am especially blessed to have Brenda in my life.” – Bobby Wells
Congrats to Brenda Wells.
