Baby Gunn’s begins fundraiser to help with large vet bills

Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue is giving away two baskets to help support its ever-growing vet bills.

“Before pets are put into a foster family, we have them vet checked for health,” said Sheri Ashford, Baby Gunn’s adoption coordinator.

Ashford said the pets are heartworm tested, fecal checked, given all up-to-date shots, wormed, spayed or neutered and microchipped.

“We also treat any of them that are heartworm positive as well,” Ashford said.

The woman basket includes:

  • Happy Dog book and Shelter Dog book;
  • Erica Lyons necklace, $45 value;
  • Lime green spay/neuter T-shirt and Valley Feed Mill insulated mug;
  • Paris Coffee, sinful pleasure, caramel mudslide coffee;
  • Large bottle of skinny mocha syrup;
  • Two large coffee mugs (one puppy dog and one my dog paw prints);
  • and more.

The man basket includes $300 worth of tools.

Tickets for the May 25 drawing can be bought from any Baby Gunn’s Animal Rescue volunteer or through PayPal at PayPal.me/sheriashford for $1 per ticket or $5 for six.

For those opting for the latter, please specify if you want the man or woman basket, name and phone number.

Winners do not need to be present during the drawing at Atwood’s, 2445 N. Main St., at 4 p.m. on May 25.
