Many parents dream that their children will grow up to be lifelong friends. Although sibling rivalry is a real thing, you can always count on your brother or sister to get you through the tough times. In honor of this special bond, April 10 has been named National Sibling Day.

Claudia Evart, a native New Yorker, founded this day to honor and celebrate her two siblings that she lost to fatal accidents. Evart was struck by how important siblings could be in our lives and was compelled to create a nonprofit organization called The Siblings Day Foundation.

Many celebrate this holiday by posting sibling photos on social media using #NationalSiblingsDay.

Show some sibling love by posting your most awkward, silly, and precious sibling photos in the comments. Don’t forget to comment and tag them so they know you’re thinking about them on this special day.
