Ephesians 3:20 says, “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all, you could ever ask, imagine, or think, according to His power at work in you. To Him be the glory.”

What an encouraging promise. God is able to do way more than you could ever even imagine! And yet, how many times have I looked at the situation, rather than the Savior?

We’ve all heard the phrase “making a mountain out of a molehill”, but when you’re in the thick of the fight, it can be hard to see anything else but what seems to be bombarding you. And when you focus on what seems to be beating you, you miss out on the answer right in front of you.

I’m reminded of two songs that reflect this very thing… The first is the beautiful hymn “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus”. The song reminds us that when you turn you eyes upon Jesus, the things (storms, struggles, mountains, etc.) of this earth go “strangely dim”, in the light of His glory and grace. And the second song is a modern chorus called, “Do It Again” by Elevation Worship. In this one, the bridge goes like this…

“I’ve seen You move, you moved the mountains

And I believe, I’ll see You do it again

You made a way, where there was no way

And I believe, I’ll see You do it again”

What a powerful line, “I’ll see You do it again!” God hasn’t failed you yet. Just because you may be in a season where you don’t “feel” Him or see what He’s doing, doesn’t mean He’s none existent. Continue to trust in Him and let the struggles fade; His promise still stands, great is His faithfulness. You’re still in His hands, and that is something you can count on. He will do, more than you can imagine, in and through your life!
