After dating for nearly four years, Eric Wood popped the question to Savannah Holman in a magical, Disneyland proposal. Of course, she said “yes!”

Wood and Holman, both born and raised in Paris, Texas, booked their flights and packed their bags for a spur-of-the-moment trip to Europe with friends who had been planning the get-a-way for quite some time.

Holman, since a young child, had wanted to visit Disneyland and admits that she even jokingly tells people if she could pick any job in the world it would be to work as a Disney Princess. As part of their trip, while in France, they planned to visit Disneyland Paris, France. Just as they found the perfect spot, for the perfect photo, Wood dropped to one knee and asked Holman to marry him.

“It’s not something I expected on this trip, but I definitely always hoped for it,” said Holman. “I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.”

Holman said she always dreamed of having a Disneyland proposal, and Wood, being the man of her dreams definitely came through.

“Not only was it at Disneyland but in Paris, France! It was so magical,” said Holman.

“I wasn’t nervous, just excited. The moment before, when we were finding the perfect spot for a picture, my heart really began to race,” said Wood. “Savannah is intelligent, driven and beautiful, but my favorite thing about her is that I can be myself around her. It truly feels like we’re a team.”

Now what?

“Now, it’s time to plan a magical wedding!” said Holman. “Eric is the kindest most loving person I know. He always protects me, and he does anything for the ones he loves. I can’t imagine a day without him. He’s perfect.”

On the trip with the couple was friend and photographer, Sam Craft, also from Paris, who took the photos of the magical moment.

Holman is the daughter of Kenny and Diane Holman and she works in Crisis Intervention at Anna ISD. Wood is the son of Betty and David Wood and works as a Civil Engineer for Drake Construction.  They are currently in Amsterdam finishing out the perfect spring break holiday.
