People Against Violent Crime to host 16th Annual Tree of Angels event

The People Against Violent Crime are inviting the public to a ceremony held for those who have been crime victims, family and friends of victims and all people who take a stand against violent crime in our community.

Crime victims are being invited to bring an ornament or select an “angel” to place on a special tree during the ceremony. There is a reception to follow immediately after.

The ceremony will be held at Central Presbyterian Church, 309 South Church Street in Paris, beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2018, with Guest Speaker Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass.

Governor Greg Abbott declared Dec. 3 – 8, 2019, as Tree of Angels week in honor of crime victims and those who work to prevent crime in the state of Texas.
