This year’s Paris Balloon and Music Festival is set for Friday and Saturday at Lamar County Fairgrounds, 570 E. Center St. starting at 5 p.m. each night and a balloon glow at dusk.
This year, the balloon launches will take place Saturday and Sunday mornings at the fairground, and will begin setting up at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.
Bands expected to be at this year’s festival include:
- Common Ground, Friday;
- Rue 82, Friday;
- Slightly Used Band, Saturday; and
- Rhythmaddicts, Saturday.
Activities to take part in during the festival include tethered balloon rides, a kids’ zone with carnival rides, food truck vendors, unique market vendors, drawings and giveaways.
Tickets are $5 per person, and live music will begin at 6 p.m.
