Benefit set for Sunday to help children of Kim Exum Hancock

-

In April 2018, Kim Exum Hancock was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy and underwent chemo, radiation and chemo pills.
In March 2019, she was told she was cancer-free with a 5 percent chance of it returning.

In May 2019, she had surgery to remove her gall bladder. At this time, the doctor found numerous cancerous tumors on her liver. On Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, she passed away.

To honor her and help her children, a benefit will take place Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, from noon – 5 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Paris.

During the benefit, those attending can enjoy a fish fry with french fries, hush puppies and beans, a live auction and music by Merrol Ray.

Admission is $10 apiece, with those six years old and younger getting in free.

The Paris Elks Lodge is at 110 36th Street N.E.
