The Tour de Paris is one of the largest events held in Paris, Texas, every year. With an ever-increasing cyclist population, the community around the sport has placed Lamar County on the map as a cycling destination.
To add to the cycling excitement, the Hell of the North Texas competition is slated the day following the Tour de Paris. HOTNT offers some of the most unique gravel and dirt routes available, linking shaded and canopy roads to help as riders challenge the Texas heat.
Courses are marked and GPS files and a phone app will be provided for navigation on this self-supported event. Riders are expected to make their own arrangements if they break down on the course and no SAG vehicles will be available. Cyclists can expect routes to ranges from 35 – 100+ miles with competitive and noncompetitive registration options. The cost to cyclists ranges from $30 – $45 with a price increase for those that register after July 15.
There will be unique giveaways and an after-ride picnic lunch with homemade desserts included with the registration fee.
