Downtown Paris to host community putt-putt challenge

-

Downtown Paris will be transformed into a roving miniature golf course in March turning everything green just in time for St. Patrick’s day.

Businesses in the downtown area will be open late Friday, March 15, 2019, and through the day Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Event-goers will be able to purchase a wristband on the day of the event, one wristband is good for entrance both days of the event. Children 13 and under will receive free admission as long as they are accompanied by an adult. When you purchase a wristband, you will receive a scorecard and off you go to golf in downtown Paris, Texas.

“While everything will take place in the downtown area any business is more than welcome to join in on the fun,” said Mainstreet Director Cheri Bedford. “Businesses can build a green and set up near the square or even sponsor a green inside another store in the downtown area.”

Bedford is still looking for two $500 sponsors for the event as well as businesses who will participate by building a green. The employees of each sponsoring business will attend the event for free. To get more information contact Bedford, cbedford@paristexas.gov.
