Benefit set for local man severely injured in vehicle accident || Justin Exum

-

A benefit has been scheduled for a local man who suffered severe injuries in an accident that almost claimed his life in December 2018.

Justin Exum, of Paris, was on his way back to the Paris area when his vehicle struck an 18-wheeler. Due to the accident, Exum suffered 21 broken bones, a head injury and burns to his left shoulder and arm.

His injuries have resulted in no use of his left arm and he will not able to walk for two months, requiring 24-hour care. Exum has a wife and three children and he will not be able to work for a year or more at this stage according to his doctors.

A benefit has been planned at the Elk’s Lodge in Paris, Texas, to take place March 10 from 12 – 5 p.m.

An auction will be held at the event (items can be dropped off at North Texas Fab, 5690 Lamar Ave) on March 10, 2019, and local musicians will perform including Wade White, Stacy Musgrove and Merrol Ray. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids age 5 and under.

Stop by and enjoy a pulled pork sandwich, beans and chips while supporting a local family in need. All proceeds will go directly towards the benefit and donations are currently being accepted.
