A local woman was sentenced to three years in the Texas Department of Corrections for two counts of forgery.
Angela Jaral was found guilty this week of passing two counterfeit $100 bills at two different businesses in Paris earlier this year.
Kelsey Doty, Assistant County and District Attorney said, “these cases are tough, they are seemingly ‘victimless,’ but
financial crimes like these do have an impact on our community’s businesses and their customers.”
The jury sentenced Jaral to three years.
“Assistant County and District Attorneys Kelsey Doty and Ben Kaminar worked diligently to prepare these cases and bring them to trial. I appreciate their efforts and the hard work done by both them and the juries to see justice was done in these cases,” said Lamar County District Attorney Gary Young.
