Lamar County Sheriff’s detectives arrested and charged Kailee Elaine Wear, 26, of Deport, with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 2, more than 4 grams but less than 400 grams, a second-degree felony.
According to Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass, detectives have pursued an on-going narcotics investigation and conducted a traffic stop South of Deport, in which they found more than 200 grams of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Cass said the street value of the THC found estimates to more than $16,000.
Wear was transported to Lamar County Jail, where a bond was set at $10,000.
“The good investigative work by detectives stopped the sale and spread of these narcotics from getting to our street and in our communities,” Cass said.
