Several people were arrested for unrelated drug crimes Tuesday in Paris.

The first happened in the 200 block of 10th Street N.E.

Terry Bull of the Paris Police Department said when officers arrived, they were told Mark Chambers had been inside the home without permission.

“Chambers was checked for warrants and found to be a fugitive on a city warrant,” Bull said. “A search revealed a quantity of narcotics on his person.”

He was arrested and charged with the warrant for assault, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

Later on Tuesday, detectives with the PPD Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop int he 4200 block of Bonham Street.

Bull said upon making the stop, contact was made with the driver, Alec Dickinson.

He was found to be in possession of cocaine and taken to jail.

Officers later responded to a narcotics violation call in the 2600 block of N. Main Street.

“They made contact with two individuals in a pickup,” Bull said. “One, Parker Pierce, was found to be wanted out of Marion County for possession of a controlled substance. The other, Shelby Williams, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.”

Both were arrested and taken to jail.
