Several people were arrested for drugs over the weekend.
Paris police arrested 34-year-old Kimberly Sueanne Drake in the 100 block of E. Price Street after police say they saw her stumbling multiple times in the street.
“The officer stopped to check her welfare and determined she was intoxicated,” said Paris Police Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett. “During the arrest, she was found to possess a small amount of methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance.”
Police responded to a disturbance in the 2400 block of 40th Street S.E. around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Garrett said officers stopped a vehicle that had been reported as being involved in the disturbance.
“When officers made contact with the driver, 22-year-old Ja Tyreous Damon Dabbs, he was found to be in possession of more than 4 ounces of marijuana,” Garrett said. “He was arrested and later transferred to Lamar County Jail.”
Also during the weekend, officers observed 23-year-old Dakota Irene Pryor loitering in the George Wright Homes complex and, upon making contact with her, found she had an outstanding warrant.
“The outstanding warrant was out of Nueces County,” Garrett said. “During the arrest, Pryor was found to possess less than one gram of methamphetamine. She was later placed in Lamar County Jail.”
