Man arrested after police say he fired a gun in the street || Redarius Antwone Cooper

A man was arrested Monday after police say they heard him shoot a gun in the street.

Redarius Antwone Cooper, 32, was found with a pistol in the 600 block of 13th Street S.E.

Curtis Garrett said police heard a gunshot and quickly located Cooper.

“Cooper was found to have multiple felony convictions on his criminal history,” Garrett said. “He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of marijuana and public intoxication.”

He awaits transfer to Lamar County Jail.
