Police are investigating after two businesses in Paris were burglarized.

The first burglary was reported around 6:30 a.m. on Monday. Police were called to the businesses in the 400 block of N. Collegiate Drive.

Curtis Garrett with the Paris Police Department said when officers arrived, they were told someone had thrown a brick through a window to gain entry into the building.

“Once inside, the suspect or suspects stole a small amount of cash,” he said. “The incident is under investigation.”

The second burglary was reported about two hours later – this time in the 300 block of 20th Street N.E.
