Paris police officers made several arrests for drug crimes Tuesday.
Around 11 a.m., Paris police officers pulled over 22-year-old Rowdy Wooten and 24-year-old Chelsey Spears in the 100 block of N. Main Street for a traffic violation.
Paris Police Lt. John Berry said both were found to have outstanding misdemeanor warrants and were placed under arrest.
“Both were also found to be in possession of small amounts of synthetic marijuana,” Berry said. “A subsequent search of their home revealed about 2 ounces of synthetic marijuana and both were charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance.”
Around 4:30 p.m., officers pulled over 44-year-old Stacy Winton in the 600 block of Graham Street for a traffic violation.
Berry said Winton was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and, while being placed under arrest, threw something.
“Officers searched the area where Winton threw the item and found a blue pill,” Berry said. “The pill was found to be a combination of Acetaminophen, Butalbital and Caffeine, which is available by prescription only.”
Winton was also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
Around 7 p.m., officers pulled over 50-year-old Kevin Anderson for a traffic violation in the 1200 block of N.E. Loop 286.
Berry said Anderson was found to be in possession of about half a gram of methamphetamine and was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
About an hour later, officers executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Deshong Drive.
Berry said officers found 25-year-old Kyler Sisson, who was in possession of more than 4 grams of methamphetamine.
Sisson was arrested for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance.
