Credit card skimmer found at gas station in Paris

A credit card skimmer was found at a gas station in Paris over the weekend.

Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Paris police were called to a gas station in the 4100 block of Lamar Avenue for reports of a card skimmer.

Curtis Garrett with the Paris Police Department said when officers arrived, they were told the owner, who checks the pumps often, found the door to the mechanical area had been pried open.

“When he opened the door, he found electronics that did not belong inside,” he said. “The skimmer was removed and placed into evidence for further investigation.”
