A woman is behind bars after police say she stabbed her boyfriend Tuesday.
Paris police officers were called for a disturbance that had just taken place around 7 a.m.
Curtis Garrett with the Paris Police Department said when officers arrived, they located a 34-year-old male victim.
“He stated that his girlfriend had stabbed him and cut him several times during an altercation,” Garrett said. “Officers were advised that the altercation had occurred in the 1900 block of Culbertson Street.”
Officers found the suspect, 30-year-old Cornisha Dorshae Brown and placed her under arrest. She was charged with aggravated assault of a family member with a deadly weapon.
She was transferred to Lamar County Jail.
The victim of the stabbing was treated and released from Paris Regional Medical Center.
