Breaking: Chase ends in wreck this morning || Updated at 4:25 p.m.

1:05 p.m.

According to Chief Deputy Tommy Moore of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, a Lamar County deputy observed a motorcycle being driven on CR 44460 with no license plate.

“When the deputy turned around on the motorcycle, he observed the motorcycle began to flee at a high rate of speed,” Moore said. “The subject turned onto FM 2648 and continued to evade deputies while driving through the construction zone. The subject turned off of FM 2648 onto CR 44250. The subject then crashed at the intersection of CR 44250 and CR 44100. The operator of the motorcycle, Kolby Slade Wynn, was taken into custody and charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, a felony. No one was injured in the pursuit and Wynn is currently awaiting arraignment at the Lamar County Jail.”  


12 p.m.

A chase by Lamar County Sheriff’s deputies ended in a wreck this morning shortly before 11 a.m.

Chief Deputy Tommy Moore of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office said a 27-year-old man driving a motorcycle was being chased by deputies when he wrecked near the intersection of CR 44250 and CR 44100.

The man sustained shoulder injuries and was taken into custody.
