There are two ongoing investigations as result of similar theft incidents from the last few days in Paris. Paris Police were first called to the  600 block of Grand Ave and notified that an unknown suspect had entered a residence and stolen two window unit air-conditioners.  Three days later Police were then called to the 700 block of W Henderson where they were told another report of an unknown suspect entering a residence and stealing one window unit air-conditioner.  Be aware of security weak points in your home and brainstorm how to prevent this happening in your own home....

Officers arrest subject with felony warrant

Yesterday morning, officers went to the 500 block of Deshong Drive in regards to Charles Dockins having an outstanding felony warrant. Officers made contact with Dockins at which time Dockins resisted arrest by trying to pull away from officers as he was being placed under arrest. A small amount of marijuana was located inside the residence. AG Paxton Reaches $36,000 Settlement with Online Contact Lens Provider

Attorney General Ken Paxton this week reached a $36,000 settlement with THEG, Inc., which did business as the online contact lens distributor/wholesaler Fine and Clear. Fine and Clear sold contact lenses to consumers without requiring them to provide a valid prescription, violating the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and the Texas Optometry Act.
