This morning the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce announced the resignation of CCE and President/CEO of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, Ken Higdon.

Higdon announced that he will be taking a similar job in Denison, Texas and that his last day in office will be November 3, 2017.

“Living in Denison puts Betty and I only 40 minutes from our grandkids, the hard part is saying goodbye to a wonderful staff of employees, Board members, committee Chairs and members, and some of the best volunteers anyone can ask for that make the numerous events possible, along with some great friends. We have enjoyed being a part of the community and will visit often.” said Mr. Higdon.

The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce has experienced growth both in membership and financially along with their other entities the Paris Visitors and Convention Council, The Love Civic Center, and Leadership Lamar County. These organizations will continue to run smoothly and efficiently as the Boards and the Staffs continue the lead and operate them.

“We appreciate the forward progress of the Chamber while Ken was here and we wish him the very best in Denison,” said Josh Bray, incoming Chairman of the Lamar County Chamber.
