Attendance is important to students because it prepares them to succeed in school and in life.  Principals at North Lamar ISD are often looking for ways to incentivize students to want to be at school.

Bailey Intermediate Principal Angela Compton recently awarded those with perfect attendance during the first six weeks. Eighty-seven fourth grade and 103 fifth grade names were put into a drawing for having perfect attendance.  Ten students from each grade were awarded a free ice cream cone from the principal.

Fifth grade winners beginning left are Jaxi Barrick, Hyleigh Wicks, Addison Bulls, Tristian Griffin, Brandon Allmon, Zaneya Allen, Jesse Troy and David Lee.
