Early voting starts Monday the April 24, 2017. On Monday and Tuesday the courthouse will be open 8 a.m.until 8 p.m. “Cities are required to have 2/12 hour days,” stated Tricia Johnson, Lamar County Elections Administrator. Beginning Wednesday through Friday (April 26 – 28) voting hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
“The following Monday and Tuesday (May 1 & 2) will also be 8-5. The last day to apply for a ballot by mail is next Tuesday, April 25,” said Johnson.
On election day, districts 3-7 will vote at the Paris Courthouse Annex. Districts 1 & 2 will go to the Paris Event Center (formally big time bingo) at 1875 Fitzhugh Ave.
Election day hours are 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

The City of Paris Bond Election will be held at the Paris Courthouse Annex.
North Lamar Independent School District is holding a bond and school board election. “They hold their own EV at their administration building. They do not have to be open 2/12 hour days. They only have to be open their normal school hours. They will be sharing an election day polling location with City of Paris Districts 1 & 2 at the Paris Event center. Their other location will be at the Powderly VFD by the school,” according to Johnson.
Roxton ISD is holding a bond election as well. Roxton will only have one location on election day which is at the Roxton Community Center.
The City of Deport is having a city council election. Their early voting and election day are both held at city hall.
