After falling behind early, the Panthers used three run innings to take control of the game. North Lamar three runs in each of the second, third and fifth innings in their 9-8 victory.
Atlanta jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second inning. In the bottom of the second, though, North Lamar would answer. After Tyler Biard was hit by a pitch and Cade Conway walked, Jake Roberts hit a 2-2 pitch over the right fielder’s head for a triple. Roberts would come around and score on a Sam Cowling single.
In the third inning, North Lamar would see the first three batters reach base. Roberts would get another RBI as he hit into a fielder’s choice which allowed Seth Adams to score. A groundout and an error would plate two more Panthers, giving them a 6-4 lead after three.
